Introduction to Greenhouse Gas Accounting for IT is an entry-level course designed for IT professionals and learners interested in sustainability within the tech sector. This hands-on course guides you through the complete greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting process—from source identification, scope categories, boundary setting, data collection methods, emission factor selection, to emissions calculations and reporting—with a focus on technology-specific applications. There are no prerequisites for this course.
Through video lessons and a practical lab featuring an IT hardware manufacturer case study, you’ll develop skills that enable you to measure, report on, and ultimately reduce the carbon footprint of IT operations and digital infrastructure.
